Our Stakeholders

QMI Solutions has four key stakeholders; two Queensland Government departments - DEEDI and DET, and two Queensland universities - UQ and QUT.

The Department of Employment, Economic Development and Innovation (DEEDI)

DEEDI brings together in one place a focus on employment growth through the key economic drivers of mining and energy, primary industries and fisheries, tourism, employment and regional development and trade. DEEDI is responsible for ensuring Queensland remains the nation’s strongest economy and works in partnership with business to foster economic growth, job creation and the capture of export earnings. QMI Solutions works closely with DEEDI’s Office of Advanced Manufacturing to help achieve the Government’s key priorities for the manufacturing industry.

The Department of Education and Training (DET)

DET delivers high-quality public education to more than 480,000 students through the state school system and works with industry, the community and registered training organisations to match training to the economic needs of the State. This includes providing vocational education and training to 246,000 students through 13 TAFE institutes at approximately 200 locations across the State and administering the apprenticeship and traineeship system across Queensland.

University of Queensland (UQ)

UQ is one of Australia’s premier learning and research institutions. It is the oldest university in Queensland and has produced generations of graduates who have gone on to become leaders in all areas of society and industry. The University is a founding member of the national ‘Group of Eight’, an alliance of research-strong ‘sandstone’ universities committed to ensuring Australia has higher education institutions which are genuinely world class. It belongs also to the global ‘Universitas 21’ alliance. This group aims to enhance the quality of university outcomes through international benchmarking and a joint venture e-learning project with ‘The Thomson Corporation’.

The Queensland University of Technology (QUT)

QUT is a highly successful Australian university with an applied emphasis in courses and research. Based in Brisbane with a global outlook, it has 40,000 students, including 6000 from overseas and aims to strengthen its distinctive national and international reputation by combining academic strength with practical engagement with the world of the professions, industry, government and the broader community.

…we see QMI Solutions as a resource that we can use across all of Ludowici’s operations in Brisbane as we start to consolidate business units and focus on supply chain management.
