CEO's message - Guiding your journey to excellence

For some time now, QMI Solutions has used the Journey to Excellence diagram as its engagement model, which has broadened to all divisions of the business.

A company's improvement journey usually has four common steps;

1. Awareness – a company may have identified areas of improvement, but wants to gather more information before considering further investment in developing solutions for a particular "problem".

2. Assessment – by obtaining an objective assessment of the company, areas for improvement are highlighted and compared against industry standards validating areas of priority.

3. Implementation – actioning the improvement program begins. It helps if an external resource assists to ensure maximum effect and sustainability. This stage may include collaboration with industry groups or universities on research programs.

4. Growth – not limited to increased turnover, growth may mean increased revenue, efficiency, morale, exports or any combination of these. At this stage in the journey, the company is maturing and basing its increased performance on embedded, sustainable practices.

As a company continues on the journey and takes these steps, it becomes more receptive to improvement ideas, better geared for growth and a step closer to becoming a world class organisation.

However a journey's destination is reached most effectively with the help of a map, or ideally a guide, that knows the landscape and potential hazards. QMI Solutions is the expert guide when it comes to addressing skilling issues, improving process performance, becoming more innovative and building capability. Delivered by Industry Capability Network, the Capability Division enhances the capability of local suppliers to better position them for involvement in major projects.

QMI leads and enables
